Boston MedFlight has ordered three Airbus H145 helicopters to support its modernisation and expansion of its air medical transport fleet in New England. The order brings the total H145 purchases to 12, strengthening Boston MedFlight's partnership with Airbus Helicopters. The twin-engine helicopters will be delivered over the next few years to replace existing aircraft and enable fleet growth. The additions are intended to enhance Boston Medflight's ability to transport critically ill and injured patients between regional healthcare facilities and directly from emergency scenes. The H145 features an innovative five-bladed main rotor designed to increase useful load by 150 kilograms (330 pounds), improve flight smoothness and simplify maintenance routines. The aircraft will integrate into Boston MedFl's existing aviation network to support the organisation's emergency medical transport operations.
