For the first time ever, Savage x Fenty, the lingerie brand founded by pop star Rihanna, will have a store open in New England.

The brand, which has locations in Washington, D.C., New York and Houston, will come to South Shore Plaza in Braintree this summer, according to Simon Property Group, which owns and manages the mall.

The new addition comes as South Shore Plaza is growing its retailers, Simon Property said in a release. The mall will have nine new stores, including the restaurants Pho & Dough and Tumeric House, both serving Asian cuisine.

The restaurants will add to South Shore Plaza’s food court, which includes The Cheesecake Factory and Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse, according to Simon.

Four of these stores have yet to open, while the other five opened their doors this year.

“We are excited to welcome these exceptional retailers to the South Shore Plaza, enhancing our commitment to delivering the best possible shopping experience for our customers,” Amy Sullivan, director of marketing and business development of South Shore Plaza, said in a statement. “At South Shore, we are dedicated to listening to our customers and continually striving to provide them with exceptional choices and experiences. The addition of these new retailers and eateries marks our unwavering commitment to that mission.”

Here are the nine stores either open or coming to the South Shore this summer.

This women’s clothing boutique is already open and offers a unique blend of urban Chicago fashion with bold colors and styles, according to its website. Sparkly sequin dresses, tweed bomber jackets and thigh-high boots are just some of the clothes patrons can expect to see at Akira.

Akira is open Monday to Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to South Shore Plaza.

Customers can experience a newly expanded and relocated Apple Store at South Shore Plaza, according to Simon.

The store’s hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays, and closes at 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, according to the store’s website.

BoxLunch opened in March and is a gift and novelty store that sells collectible items for various fan bases, including Harry Potter-themed T-shirts, animé action figures, graphic tees and more, according to the store’s website.

Box Lunch is open Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to South Shore Plaza.

Earthbound Trading will open soon and is a lifestyle company that focuses on artisanal crafts and bohemian fashion, according to Simon. At Earthbound Trading, customers can expect to buy summer clothes, jewelry, home decor, crystals and essential oils.

Golf Lounge 18 opened in February and is a golf simulation and entertainment venue, according to its website. It offers high-tech golf simulators that allow players to experience virtual versions of famous golf courses across the globe.

Golf Lounge 18 at South Shore Plaza is open Monday to Thursday 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to the South Shore Plaza.

Pho & Dough, a Vietnamese fare featuring a Japanese-style doughnut shop will join South Shore Plaza’s food court soon. At Pho & Dough, customers can order Bahn Mi sandwiches and Mochi doughnuts, according to South Shore Plaza.

Pho & Dough is open Monday to Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to South Shore Plaza.

Founded by the pop singer Rihanna, Savage x Fenty is a lingerie brand that offers customers a wide variety of bras, panties and sportswear. At Savage x Fenty customers can also purchase sleepwear for both men and women. The store is yet to open.

Tumeric House will open soon and is a restaurant that serves Indian and Nepalese cuisines, according to the eatery’s website. Turmeric House’s unique menu includes Malai kofta, which are cottage cheese and vegetable balls, cardamom, yogurt, cashew nuts and onion puree, served with Basmati rice. And paneer Tikka masala which are cubes of cottage cheese cooked with creamy tomato sauce, served with Basmati rice.

In late April, Uniqlo, a Japanese casual wear designer, opened its fourth store in Boston at the South Shore Plaza. The fast-fashion retailer specializes in affordable casual wear such as sweaters, T-shirts, shorts and pants for men, women and children, according to its website.

Uniqlo is open Monday to Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to South Shore Plaza.

The South Shore Plaza is located at 250 Granite St. in Braintree. The plaza is open Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
