Massachusetts businesses create Cape Cod-inspired goods and custom skis
Cape Cod Chokers creates hand-drawn accessories in Orleans, while East Boston’s Parlor Skis lets customers help design their own skis Two Massachusetts businesses, Cape Cod Chokers and Parlor Skis, are creating custom products that incorporate personal creativity into products. In Orleans, Capecod Chokers founder Katie Prchlik creates hand-drawn and painted designs for clothing, handbags, hats, towels and other goods, with some collections taking months to develop. In East Boston, Parlor skis, co-founders Mark Wallace, Pete Endres and Jason Epstein, grew up racing across New England before starting the company in Cambridge and have since expanded to an East Boston facility. The custom design process builds on their ski-racing roots and gives customers a role in shaping the equipment they'll use on the mountain.
