Boston MBTA stop to become ‘Bark Street Station’ for a day
Commuters can meet adoptable pups, therapy dogs and other four-legged visitors during a one-day event later this week. The Boston MBTA will temporarily rebrand Park Street Station as ‘Bark Street Station’ in conjunction with the Animal Rescue League of Boston, marking Adopt a Shelter Dog Month. The event will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.am. on Oct. 29 and will allow commuters and pedestrians to interact with canine guests, including dogs previously adopted by the ARL. Therapy dogs from MetroWest K-9 Services, the police departments of Burlington, Berklee College of Music and Northeastern University will also be present. The pop-up also aims to connect locals with resources on adopting, fostering and volunteering to help animals seeking permanent homes.
