Uchi's next destination for award-winning Japanese cuisine? Boston.
The concept is opening new locations from coast to coast. Austin chef Tyson Cole's fine dining Japanese concept, Uchi, is set to open in Boston, taking over the former space of Pink Taco's last remaining Mexican restaurant. The James Beard Foundation Award-winning concept will be opening at 374 Congress St. in the historic Fort Pont neighborhood. The opening date has not yet been announced, but it is expected to be in late 2027. Once open, this will be the 14th location across the U.S. for Uchi. Hai Hospitality's other Izakaya-inspired concept, Unitedchibā, is also set to be opening in Houston's River Oaks neighborhood.
