The New England Patriots are meeting with two top quarterback prospects ahead of selecting No. 3 in the 2024 draft.

The Patriots will meet with North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye on Friday at Gillette Stadium, according to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer.

The team will then meet with LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels Monday in New England, according to Daniels' agent Ron Butler and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The Patriots attended both Maye and Daniels' respective Pro Days, according to Breer and The Athletic's Jeff Howe.

Maye and Daniels are ranked as the No. 1 and No. 3 quarterback prospects in the 2024 draft, respectively, by the B/R NFL Scouting Department.

UNC quarterback Caleb Williams, ranked as the No. 2 quarterback prospect by B/R NFL scouts, is expected to go to the Chicago Bears with the No. 1 pick.

Williams took what was "likely" his only top-30 visit with the Bears Wednesday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Maye previously held a 30 visit with the New York Giants in March, according to Breer. The Giants hold the No. 6 pick in the upcoming draft.

The Patriots' draft decision will not be entirely up to New England. The team's selection will depend on what the Washington Commanders do with the No. 2 pick of the draft.

The Commanders are hosting Daniels for a top 30 visit of their own, according to The Athletic's Ben Standig.

ESPN's Adam Schefter said Thursday on The Adam Schefter Podcast (h/t NESN's Adam London) that he believes "signs continue to point to Jayden Daniels being the second overall pick."

That would set the Patriots to either draft Maye at No. 3, or alternatively decide to trade back fro the pick and find their next franchise quarterback on the NFL trade market.
