Globe Top 20 girls’ volleyball poll: Westford spooking opponents as it climbs
The Ghosts took down three ranked Dual County League teams in a row to rise from No. 17 to No. 14 with just over a week to go in the regular season. Westford, a team that has won 10 consecutive matches, is leading the Globe Top 20 girls’ volleyball poll with a total of 10 victories. This comes as part of a period of calm before the end of the regular season, with the team's last three victories against Cambridge, Newton South, and Lincoln-Sudbury. The rankings are shifting as the season progresses and the Middlesex League only requires each team to play once this season. Meanwhile, Eastern Mass. girls‘ volleyball teams are focusing on nonconference battles.
