Stoughton Police Department Earns State Accreditation
The Stoughton Police Department has earned accreditation after completing a voluntary review of its policies, procedures and operations. The Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission has awarded the Stoughton Police Department an Accredited Police Department status. The process requires agencies to demonstrate compliance with established professional standards to strengthen accountability, risk management and public confidence. Accreditation Manager Lt. Tim Hansler led the effort, reviewing departmental policies and procedures to meet or exceed the commission's standards.
