Patriots Release P Bryce Baringer from IR: Here's Why They Did It
The New England Patriots are moving on from another Bill Belichick draft pick. The New England Patriots are reportedly releasing veteran punter Bryce Baringer from IR due to an injury suffered in the preseason. Baringher, who has been the team's top punter since being drafted in 2023, was placed on IR as part of roster cuts without a designation to return. This decision was made due to the team being dealing with a shortage of players returning from IR in the middle of the season. Bareder's release leaves only Wishnowsky on the roster as the only punter. The Patriots have also reportedly re-signing edge rusher Jose Ramirez to make room for him.
