Navy sailor who was a Mass. football standout, class president killed in Florida crash
A navy sailor and Massachusetts high school graduate died in a car crash in Florida over the weekend. Francois Prince Emmanuel Longdaye Yambete, a Navy sailor and Massachusetts high school graduate, died in a car accident in Pensacola, Florida. The car was traveling at a high rate of speed when it lost control and hit a railing, causing it to flip and burst into flames. Longdayo, a star football player and class president at Bartlett High School, was pronounced dead at the scene. All three occupants were Navy sailors stationed at Naval Air Station Pensacol. Webster Public Schools superintendent Monique Pierangeli confirmed Longdayee's death. Longaye was honored as a "Hometown MVP" by NBC10 Boston in November.
