Freeze Threat Hits MA Amid Dry, Sunny, Mostly Mild Stretch Through Halloween: See Latest Forecast
The coldest temperatures of the season are in store for some on one night this week, but rain stays away through the weekend. Temperatures across Massachusetts are expected to remain dry throughout the remainder of 2026, with temperatures expected to rebound from the low 20s to the 70s later in the week. This is expected to be the longest dry stretch of the year, with no significant rain forecast until the end of the month. The National Weather Service predicts a 50 to 60 percent chance of above-normal temperatures in its long-range forecast. The weather is expectedly mild for Halloween, with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s overnight. The next threat for rain is early next week.
