Patriots released P Bryce Baringer. Smith-Njigba, the NFL's top receiving leader, has been performing well this season, scoring over 100 yards in six of seven games and scoring eight receiving touchdowns. He recently put on a strong performance in a game against the Seahawks, scoring a touchdown and 126 yards before halftime. Despite this, Smith-Nigba remains the overall WR1 ahead of a potential matchup against the Bears in Week 8.
