Wrong-way driving prevention update from MassDOT after deadly crashes
The update follows the death of a Triton Regional High School senior in a wrong-way crash Sunday morning on Route 1. MassDOT is set to provide an update on its wrong-way driving prevention systems following a series of deadly wrong-Way crashes, including several on Route 1. The update will be broadcast live on our website at 10 a.m. According to MassDOT, the statewide initiative combines advanced detection technology, enhanced roadway signage, infrastructure improvements and targeted safety upgrades at over 800 locations across Massachusetts.
