Van Leeuwen Ice Cream Shop To Open At The Street Chestnut Hill
The Chestnut Hill location will be the first of three Greater Boston locations opening in the next six months. Van Leeuwen, a New York City-based ice cream shop with 30 signature flavors, is set to open at The Street Chestnut Hill on April 12 at 11 a.m. with additional locations set for the Seaport this summer and Harvard Square in the fall. The grand opening will include $1 scoops and a limited-edition-themed sundae named The Finish Line Sundae. Van Leeuwan is also offering 50 percent off ice cream purchases for Boston Marathon runners who bring their medal or big to redeem the offer. In addition, Vanleeuwen will showcase a limited edition Boston Ice Cream Pie Sundae, featuring Flour Bakery cake pieces, to benefit the Corey C. Griffin Foundation.

NEWTON, MA — A New York City-based ice cream shop with 30 signature flavors, including traditional and unique blends, is coming to Chestnut Hill just in time to welcome the Boston Marathon and its spectators.
The first Boston-area Van Leeuwen is set to open on April 12 at 11 a.m. at The Street Chestnut Hill with additional locations set for the Seaport this summer and Harvard Square this fall.
The grand opening will include $1 scoops on April 12 from 2 to 6 p.m. The shop will be located next to Legal Sea Foods and will be open Sunday through Thursday fro 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight.
In honor of the Marathon, Van Leeuwen will offer a special, limited-edition-themed sundae for the entire opening week called The Finish Line Sundae. That will feature a waffle bowl, honeycomb ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream and honey almond slivers. Van Leeuwen is also offering 50 percent off ice cream purchases through April 21 for Boston Marathon runners who bring their medal or big to redeem the offer.
In addition, Van Leeuwen will showcase a limited-edition Boston Ice Cream Pie Sundae, featuring Flour Bakery cake pieces, to benefit the Corey C. Griffin Foundation — whose mission is to support and help improve the lives of Boston's youth through funding education, leadership, and health care initiatives. The Boston Ice Cream Pie Sundae will be available opening month at The Street Chestnut Hill (April 12 -May 12, 2024, or while supplies last). Van Leeuwen will also offer kids scoops (a smaller-sized scoop) and a 15 percent student discount with a valid student ID.
