Prosecutors allege that Farwell committed statutory rape against Birchmore when she was an underage participant in the Stoughon Police Exporers program and continued a sexual relationship with her for years. He allegedly killed Birchmore in 2021 to prevent her from revealing the nature of his abuse. William Farwell is testifying under federal immunity to prevent him from being prosecuted for having sex with Birchmore while on the clock for Stoughtown. The prosecution expects to rest its case later this week.
