Massachusetts ballot question 6 would create Nature for All Fund. Here's how it would work.

If ballot question 6 is approved, some Massachusetts taxes generated from the sale of sporting goods, recreational vehicles and golf courses would go toward natural resource conservation. Ballot question 6 in Massachusetts would establish the "Nature for All Fund" if approved by voters in November. The fund would use $65 million a year in sales taxes collected on sporting goods, recreational vehicles, and golf courses to fund land and water conservation, parks and outdoor recreation. The Conservation Law Foundation is among over 120 organizations statewide supporting the proposal. The money could be used for projects such as drinking water supplies, restoration of forests and farmland, improvements to parks and trails, and expanded access to outdoor recreation within a 15-member board. The Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance has urged voters to reject question 6, raising concerns about redirecting existing tax revenue away from the state's general fund.
