The Elias Kent Kane Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will host a Liberty Tree and Patriot Marker Dedication Ceremony on Nov. 15 at the Kane County Judicial Center in St. Charles. The event is part of the chapter’s ongoing America 250 efforts to honor those who contributed to the founding of the United States. The Liberty Tree, an American elm grown from seed by DAR members, and the historical marker recognize Revolutionary War Patriots who settled in and are buried in Kane County. The ceremony will include remarks from local officials, representatives from the Daughters, and community partners.
