At Fort Hill Farms, getting lost is part of the fun

In 2007, Classic Chronicle visited Fort Hill Farms in Thompson, Connecticut, where a historic farm used its annual corn maze to combine education, recreation and local history Fort Hills Farm in Thompson, Connecticut, offers a unique experience with its annual corn maze, attracting thousands of visitors each year. The farm, which covers hundreds of acres and home to 200 milking cows, was discovered during the COVID-19 pandemic. Kristin Orr, who has worked on the land since childhood, returned to the farm several decades ago after studying biology and botany at Penn State. The maze features color codes and guides to help visitors track their progress, and Orr hopes that finding the way out is the last thing on visitors' minds. This year's theme will be inspired by the local water company, La Framboise.
